Our Story
Our founder is a fifth generation entrepreneur from a business family engaged in imports and distribution of pharma APIs and excipients. He is an avid reader, Yoga and meditation practitioner and a firm believer in Ayurveda and Naturopathy.
He was struck with deep grief when, over a period of 8 years, 3 of his cousins aged 45-55 years, passed away with CVD and cancer. He started researching on foods to prevent chronic diseases and How to live fit and Healthy. He found the answer in plant based diets when he read the book “ The China Study” (by Colin Campbell), in 2018. The book documented the downsides of animal protein, as a possible cause of cancer, obesity, diabetes, etc. This piqued his interest in Plant Protein and on research he found India being majorly into dairy products consumption, there was lack of knowledge about the ill effects of dairy and animal proteins on human body. After intense research and discussions with doctors, nutritionists and food technologists, the plant based nutrition products were introduced under brand “PROTUFF”, in 2019.
Curiosity is his biggest motivating factor and to prove the efficacy of our product a clinical trial was also carried out proving that it helped in recovery from chronic fatigue, gaining muscle strength and improving immunity.
He has a passion and vision to widen the nutrition products on the plant based platform, to offer preventive wellness to people of all age groups.
